Allan Hawco

Newfoundland born actor Allan Hawco is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. Most recognized from his lead role on the TV series Republic of Doyle, Hawco also served as the Co-Creator, Showrunner, Executive Producer, and Head Writer for six seasons. He starred opposite Cuba Gooding Jr. in the miniseries, The Book of Negroes. Hawco is the co-founder of ‘The Company Theatre’, where he starred in its inaugural production of Whistle in the Dark. Allan’s major accolades include the Gascon Thomas Award from the National Theatre School, an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Canadian Television Hall of Fame, a Gemini Nomination for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series (Republic of Doyle), and an ACTRA Nomination for Best Male Actor (Love & Savagery).
